There's some restrictions though, read some of the threads to check it out - I think your alt may be fine for competition (because it was below 10K before the stat split) but you'll need to get the 1500 points on your main to run again.
Lucid said it's impossible because of how he did the split in the first place.
Once the competition gets rolling and if the experienced players are friendly/supportive of new players, then they'll get better. Think of red hearts this next week or so as a warmup and try to get some competitive setup tables to fill and teach new players.
Everyone is a noob once, but I'm sure anyone who plays in comp regularly had someone show them a few things along the way. Be that person to someone else.
Some people have been complaining about the Main Lobby competition being flooded by noobs. Well how exactly are new supposed to get better if they don't play with good players?
Well considering the alternative for most people is not having enough points in Main to run in the competition at all, I think this is a pretty fair solution. I was the one who wanted to give the break, not Lucid.
Featured Setup should get implemented soon and that'll make the process faster. Remember that people are still learning the game and that mistakes are bound to happen. Just try and tell them what they could do better and maybe they'd improve a bit.
