empire, nothing you described was relevant to the decision made in the past as none of it was ever distinguished by the mods at the time. so it shouldn't be a factor in the decision for inaction this time around.
A. Allowing people to force ties just for a chance of getting a better trophy
B. Disallowing people from not playing their hearts just because they don't want a better trophy, or don't want to win.

Not playing your hearts to purposely tie and get more hearts for a chance to win get a better trophy is 100% an exploit.
The system for tying has always been flawed, and the only thing that needs to be fixed here is possibly that when there's a tie it needs to lock in the spots not in contention (Ex. 2/3rd tie, 1st is locked and 4th can't overtake). It's just that no one has ever bothered to fix it because ties are so rare.
The situation with Keri, however, is completely different from the situation with purposely forcing a tie.
how could he possibly fix this. rounds SHOULD go on an extra day when its tied after everybody has played their hearts. they SHOULDN'T if somebody has hearts remaining
Even then, plus he could think that it is still the best system to allow gold to be stolen after a tie if it isn't done intentionally (which is a fair enough opinion)
i distinctly remember riot disallowing it because he thought i was just doing it to troll the person in first place, AKA with malicious intent. but my intent was never malicious. it was only my own personal gain
lots of people are getting mad because i'm arguing about an inconsistency that might negatively affect their friend but in reality nothing will get done so they should just un-madden themselves and let the thread roll
i never said it was or was not an exploit. i said it was not relevant to the administrative decision made at the time, which makes a very big difference
there were people like riddler who complained and said it wasn't fair. but no mod ever stated that the ruling was based on my intended actions "abusing an exploit"
Connor, have you considered the fact that it's day 12 and there are no people worth playing with that have gold hearts left at this point? Have you realized that maybe instead of she -won't- play them, she -can't-.
like think of any competition/sport where it's not just encouraged, but forced that someone get a ranking they do not want.

if you really believe mods should be allowed to force people to use hearts in comp lobby, you're really part of the problem with how this website views competitions and people who play in them.

i think dave is right on principle but the actual issue is stupid and it was dumb that it was ever ruled on that way in the first place. furthermore, none of thec urrent mods care nor will they enforce it.
