It's finally here! After years of Gallis Hunter being blacklisted, bronto has finally given the greenlight to unblacklist Gallis Hunter for weekends in the Competitive Lobby!
For those uninitiated into what Gallis Hunter is, you can find the setup here: https://epicmafia.com/setup/161793 It was originally blacklisted for being a cesspool of trolling and spamming, as well as being a pointfarm. But, the mod team is interested in experimenting on only unblacklisting it for weekends (Friday nights to Sunday nights) for now.
Things to note:
Gallis Hunter will not be allowed to be "comped", so all ranked games will remain red hearts.
All rules will still apply in ranked Gallis Hunter games, including Trolling and Spamming. Some games may be regluated more harshly if needed.
The longevity of this project depends solely on how this setup is treated. If players resort to continual amounts of Trolling and Spamming in this setup, then Gallis Hunter will be re-blacklisted. If you abuse it, you will lose it.
Otherwise, I'm excited to finally be announcing this change! I hope you are all looking forward to this. :)
why still blacklist setups because they're pseudo-pointfarms? you can blacklist all the setups like gallis hunter from comp forever, but with 10 training hearts a day and endless hearts in custom lobbies with multiaccounting allowed in most of them, pointfarming has never been easier. just a few years ago only flybriguy had hit 100000 points and now you need more than that just to get on the point hall of fame.
Because it is kind of a pointfarm and it may hurt the competition. Being able to relax on the weekends with some Gallis Hunter is better than nothing for now.
I'd totally consider expanding this to Minesweeper and other if this goes well.
reverse mafia is a whole different game entirely as far as im concerned, and i think these Gallis Hunter Weekends should promote setups that are less competitive, but still viable. :)

from a politicial standpoint, i give this thread an 10/10 and half an obama. stay strong.
I mean it seems silly to do it for 1 setup only. Consider what type of setup you're trying to do it with (I assume anything not an outright point farm) and do it for all
Why not just unblacklist it? It's not like there's anything special about red heart games considering multiple lobbies. Might as well let people have their fun.
