"worst part about being a mod is the "us against them" mentality that is perpetuated by both users and mods" - It has always been like this. You knew what you were getting into, but I applaud you for trying to change the mentality even though it won't work on this site because the main focus is on competitive which brings in sour people.
"i cannot begin to tell you how unmotivating it is to do excess work for users on a site that you don't feel appreciate you and you personally don't like" - If you don't like some of the users, then why did you become a mod? Maybe if you weren't a jerk towards me and others and actually acted respectful towards they community then you might be more appreciated.
Yeah but i've done 1000+ practice reports i'm retti for action.

i know this has been said before by both retti and shacky, but it bears repeating. the reason forum moderators are typically more long standing on other sites is because they're intended to be part of the community, not put into a different room from them. when you make mods feel as the others from the general userbase, you cannot expect them to want to provide for that userbase for an extended period of time.

also, last thing: worst part about being a mod is the "us against them" mentality that is perpetuated by both users and mods. i cannot begin to tell you how unmotivating it is to do excess work for users on a site that you don't feel appreciate you and you personally don't like. again, this is perpetuated by both users and mods. it doesn't hurt to let a mod feel as though they are part of the community they try to supervise at most free hours. i think that might be one of the largest reasons i'm just over modding. i'm over epicmafia.com and i feel very disinterested in it because i feel dispassionate about the majority of users aside from a select few that i am friends with and i feel as though no matter what quality of work i provide, i will generally be unnoticed, for better and worse.

The other guy thinks it's hilarious because he didn't pay for his ticket, or the parking.

That guy's probably mad because both the Cubs and the Mets suck, and he paid money to go see that baseball game.
I cheated in a round awhile ago when I ran for a trophy, and won gold. I reached for the stars and I got to the top, but I did it dishonestly. It's now up to YOU to find the round this happened in.
1) i've done more practice reports? 2) i've got roommates willing to do random reports on a game they've never played because they think this game is funny? SO like I could have the efficiency of 3 doped up guy friends tryna taylor swift out some cold-hard justice? 3) idiot?

cheating investigations are fun in theory but it's really just sifting through a lot of data, at least the way i do it.
i think it's time for me to replace slow as the resident cheating mod. i'm fully prepared to look through an old winner's games for hours on my day off.
