i used to have silver hair as well and i had the same issue (especially with shimmer lights crap) the best shampoo for silver hair imo would be khlorane silver highlights shampoo, it still keeps the silver bright but didn't make my scalp dry or itchy and my hair didn't feel nasty afterwards, i got it off amazon and it was baller
I've used that jazz in the purple bottle and legitimately all it does is dry my hair and scalp beyond belief. I used to be a daily washer but now I do it maybe twice a week. Still, it fades too quickly for my liking.
they also make shampoo to bring the silver out of hair, so if you do that too, i'm pretty sure you can intentionally look like you're on the road to being in a coffin as long as you'd like
the way to maintain silver hair is to get your hair used to showering less before the actual process. this doesn't mean you don't have to wash your body, it means just don't wash your hair as much. it'll be greasy at first but you maintain it with dry shampoo and it will naturally just stay non-oily after each shower longer and then when you get silver, you can keep it longer because you have to wash it out less and your hair won't get faded easily.
Silver hair doesn't last long enough to pay that much to get it done. I know from experience. You also kill your hair in the process of maintaining it if you haven't via bleaching already.
