Also most people's choice of background pictures would probably be ugly and clash, like the background on that page, and people absolutely don't need to be able to move things around, that's just an unnecessary coding problem.

And regardless of being able to spectate an unranked game, most of which are terrible, people will not pay money to try out a game which they have no idea about. Try before you buy etc

Plenty of free sites to get this same thing, and with the drop in player rates it will be a worthless expenditure, even if only a dollar.

But really I refuse to pay for ANY game ever again.

The ideas aren't bad.

Wow. This is the worst idea ever, turning a free to play game into a paid game, why? What's so special about EM that would make people want to play it for 1/3 the cost that you play an MMORPG like WoW for! I am on this site because it's free, and fun, it works. It doesn't need to be changed, though more features and benefits need to be added. I agree the revenue is not enough, but your ways of fixing it = fail, the membership count of EM would drop drastically if you implement this, think how long filling a ranked game would take? What if some troll has a lot of money, while honest players don't? And you're basically driving almost everyone 18 and under, which is many, MANY members, away, they do not have credit cards/paypal, for the most part.

If you call this post trolling, fine, you're just in denial and can't accept that your idea would never work, at all. the $1 membership one time fee I could ALMOST see working, almost, then maybe a $1 a month fee at MOST, if it's not completely free, but that'd still drive new players away. The internet wants something free to play, and fun. That is EM. Why are you trying to ruin it?

I want something to happen like in the massive game, Travian, it is a free to play browser based game that costs more than this to uphold, yet is ONE HUNDRED PERCENT FREE(to play) but offers packages of gold, that enhance the experience, yet don't make you overpowered. I think Lucid should make things like graphics packs, maybe a community donate thing, where a feature is released if the community can band together to donate $50. Something like that would be much better than this idea of a large subscription fee.
